Description

Browetts is a cottage dating from around 1700, with a 20th-century addition. It is constructed of dressed stone and brick, with ashlar dressings at the rear, and has a coped tile roof with brick end stacks and a cross-axial stack. The two-story house has a three-window front. Raking buttresses flank the 20th-century entrance door. The small windows have casements, with a late 20th-century addition to the left end. The rear elevation is brick, with ashlar quoins, a plinth, a plat band, and a cornice. Two entrances have lintels with key blocks above 20th-century glazed doors, and three ground-floor windows have stone lintels with key blocks above two-light, small-paned casements. Similar casements are found in the first-floor windows. A large, late 20th-century wing extends to the right end. The interior was not inspected. The building possesses group value from this appearance.
