Description
The Olde House is a mid-18th century house located on the north side of Cherington Main Street. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone and features coped gables. The roof is slate with stone end stacks. The house has a two-unit plan and is two stories high, with a two-window range of 20th-century casements that have wooden lintels. There is a 20th-century plank door with a hood at the center of the front. To the right, there is a two-story stone range from the 18th century, which has 20th-century garage doors on the ground floor and one 20th-century casement window on the first floor. A 20th-century stone two-story range is located at the rear left. Inside, the house features chamfered spine beams and a large open fireplace. The building is included for its group value.
