Description
No. 7 Sheep Street is a house dating from the early 18th century, which was raised by one storey in the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone with a rendered second floor and features a slate roof with a brick ridge stack. The building has three storeys and a two-window range, following a two-unit plan.
On the right side, there is a 19th-century panelled door with a fanlight and a pilaster surround topped with a gabled hood supported by consoles. In the centre, there is a 19th-century canted bay window with a 16-pane sash window at the front and a moulded cornice. On the left, there is a 19th-century plank door with a wooden lintel. The first floor features a 12-pane sash window on the left and a 19th-century sash window on the right. On the second floor, there is a 6-pane sash window on the right and a painted imitation sash window on the left. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
