Description

A late 18th-century house and office, originally two cottages, located in Sheep Street, Shipston on Stour. The building is constructed of brick in a Flemish chequer bond, with squared, coursed lias stone to the rear, and has a rendered plinth. The roof is slate, with brick end stacks. The building is two storeys high, with a three-window front. The plan is based on three units. A passageway is situated on the far right, with a wood lintel above. Centrally, there are two four-panelled doors, both with painted brick flat arches. A 20th-century casement window is to the left of the doors, and a 16-pane sash window with a painted brick flat arch is to the right. First floor windows include a 16-pane sash to the right, and another to the left, alongside a 19th-century three-light casement in the centre. The interiors were not inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
