Description
No. 45 Wood Green is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a hipped and gabled stone slate roof, with a moulded stone end stack and a brick ridge stack. The building has an L-plan layout with a rear left wing and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a three-window range.
The entrance includes an early 19th-century half-glazed door adorned with a decorative fanlight, framed by a semi-circular arched architrave with a bracketed open pediment. Timber lintels support early 19th-century eight-pane sash windows, while hipped roof dormers contain 20th-century casements. The right side wall also features similar sash windows. At the rear left, there are two-storey ranges made of similar materials from the 18th century. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is likely to be of interest.
