Description

The Church of Holy Trinity is a church built in 1849 by B. Ferrey. It is constructed from squared and coursed limestone, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a gabled stone slate roof. The church is designed in the Gothic Revival style, specifically in the Early English style, and consists of a nave and chancel.

The east window is a 4-light design with graduated lancets, adorned with a label mould that has ballflower and head stops. The chancel, which has two bays, features similar hood moulds over lancets on both the south and north sides, where there is also a vestry that includes a pointed moulded doorway and a Caernarvon-arched window. The nave has five bays with offset buttresses, lancets, and a 2-light window in each east bay. The south door is pointed and moulded, leading to a south porch that has a pointed moulded arch supported by engaged shafts.

On the west gable, there is a gabled bellcote, a king's head above a quatrefoil light, two lancets, and a pointed moulded doorway with engaged shafts, all featuring head stops on the hood moulds.

Inside, there is a trefoiled piscina and a pointed chamfered vestry door. The chancel roof has two bays with scissor trusses and arched windbraces. The moulded chancel arch is set on engaged shafts with bell capitals, and there is an oak screen with 15th-century style tracery. The church also features an octagonal wooden pulpit and an Early English style stone font. A gallery at the west end includes a trefoil frieze, and the roof is arch-braced with five bays, supported by carved corbels.
