Description
This is an early 19th-century shop with living accommodation above, located on the High Street in Shipston on Stour. The building is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with ashlar stone dressings to the shop front. The gabled roof is concealed behind a brick and stone coped parapet, and brick end stacks are present. It has three storeys and a three-window front, reflecting a double-depth plan.
The ground floor features a six-panelled door with a pilaster surround, a simple overlight, and a moulded hood supported by consoles on both the left and right sides. Between the doors, a projecting 19th-century shop front has a moulded hood supported by limestone Doric pilasters and double part-glazed doors with a central overlight. The first floor has three 20-pane sashes, and the second floor has three 12-pane sashes. All windows are topped with gauged brick flat arches. The interior has not been inspected.
