Description

This is a late 18th-century shop, altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is located on Wormgate in Boston and comprises two storeys plus attics, with a three-bay front. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, topped with a slate roof and a gable stack. The exterior features a timber dentilled eaves cornice. A 19th-century shop front is present, with two half-glazed doors at the centre and an opening to the rear on the right. The shop front includes plain pilasters, a fascia, a cornice, and console brackets at each end. The first floor has three window openings; the central one is sheeted over, while the flanking windows are single divided sashes, each with a brick segmental head. A leaded, gabled 2-light casement dormer window is set into the roof. The rear of the building has been extended and altered in the 20th century. The interior contains no noteworthy features.
