Description

No. 10, Wormgate is a late 18th-century house and shop, altered in the 19th century. It is built of red/brown brick with stucco dressings and painted, with a brick ground floor. The roof is half-hipped and tiled, with a single brick gable stack to the right. The front has two storeys and three bays. A segmental carriage arch is on the left, topped with a stucco keystone. To the right of the arch is a 6-panel door with a plain overlight, a 20th-century half-glazed door, and a shop window, all with narrow reeded architraves, and beneath a modillion cornice. The first floor features three plain sash windows with wedge stucco lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
