Description

15 and 17 Wormgate are a pair of shops dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. They are constructed of red and brown brick, featuring painted brick on the front, and have a slate roof with brick coped gables and a gable stack on the right side.

The exterior consists of two storeys and a four-bay front. The right side has a 19th-century shop front and doorway with plain pilasters, an angled fascia, and a timber cornice. The left side features a 20th-century shop front. On the first floor, there are four plain sash windows with segmental heads. The return to Fountain Lane includes a plain sash window on the first floor and a lower 19th-century pent-roofed rear extension. The interior has not been inspected.
