Description
Lloyds Bank is a bank building, formerly a house, dating from the early 19th century. It is probably constructed of brick, now rendered. The ground floor features rusticated detailing and a storey band, with stucco quoins and a coped parapet. The roof is tiled and from the 20th century. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range with a two-unit plan. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century door with an overlight, framed by an original Doric half-column surround and a plain entablature. There are two openings on either side of the door, and the first-floor windows on the left and right are 12-pane sashes with moulded surrounds. At the rear, there is a two-storey rendered range with a 20th-century tiled roof. The ground floor features a paired window, each with 16 panes and a moulded surround with a hood. On the first floor, there is a 19th-century three-light casement window to the left and a 12-pane hinged casement window to the right. The interior has been opened out on the ground floor.
