Description

The Holly Bush is a house that was formerly an inn, dating back to the 17th century. It features timber framing with lath and plaster infill on both the front and rear, topped with a thatched roof and a brick chimney at one end. The building has a two-unit plan, which has been altered, and consists of one storey and an attic with two swept dormers. A late 19th or early 20th century whitewashed brick porch has a segmental door head and a 20th century ribbed and studded door. The windows are 19th century metal casements with glazing bars. To the right, there is a 19th century addition that adjoins a cart shed, while to the left, there is a late 19th or early 20th century projecting cross wing, both made of whitewashed brick with tile roofs. The interior has not been inspected.
