Description
Broom Tavern is an inn dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill set on a stone plinth, topped with a tile roof and brick chimneys. The building is L-shaped, with a late 19th or early 20th-century brick wing filling in part of the structure. The main front facing the lane has two storeys and a three-window range. It includes a 19th-century chamfered four-panel door framed by a simple moulded wood architrave and 20th-century casement windows. The facade on High Street has a gable on the right side, a 20th-century timber-framed porch, and exposed timber framing throughout. At the rear, there are two timber-framed gables. Inside, the tavern features open fireplaces and broad-chamfered ceiling beams.
