Description
The Blue Pig is a house that was formerly an inn, dating from the 17th century, with a rear wing that may be from the 18th century and a late 20th-century addition. The building is timber framed with square framing and brick infill, while the right side is rendered. The rear wing features colourwashed render, and the late 20th-century addition is made of brick. The roofs are tiled, with a brick ridge stack. The layout is L-shaped, likely originally designed with a lobby entrance, and includes a wing on the right at the rear, with the late 20th-century wing set back on the left at the front. The house has one storey and an attic, with two ground floor windows. The windows are two-light casements, with the left window being a late 20th-century addition and the right window featuring glazing bars. There is a blocked doorway, and the left side has 19th and 20th-century casements. The attic includes a late 20th-century three-light casement. The entrance is located in the late 20th-century wing and has a part-glazed door. At the rear, the wing has late 20th-century casements and a 19th-century half-glazed door in the angle. Inside the wing, there are chamfered ceiling beams.
