Description
The left gatepier, wall, pedestrian gateway, and gate at Bourton Hall were likely built around 1906 and may have been designed by Harold A. Peto. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and feature a cast-iron gate in the Edwardian Baroque style. The gatepier has a moulded plinth, entablature, and a dentil cornice. Its projecting front and rear faces include tall, narrow moulded shaped panels, with the lower left section featuring a large volute and the lower right section a small volute. At the top, there is a ball finial. The gatepier stands approximately 4 metres high, while the wall is about 4 metres long. The pedestrian gateway has a moulded surround and a door made up of three moulded vertical panels.
