Description

The property is a cottage, dating from the 17th century, with significant rebuilding and alterations occurring in the late 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, incorporating infill of whitewashed brick, with later additions. The roof is tiled, and the stack is brick, dating from the 20th century. A brick addition was built to the left end. The cottage follows a two-unit lobby entry plan, with a 19th-century outshut to the rear. It has one storey and an attic, with a two-window front. A 19th-century part-glazed six-panelled door is set within a painted wood doorcase on the right. The windows are mainly two-light casements, some with horizontal glazing bars. Half-dormers are present. Some timber framing is exposed to the rear. The interior is reportedly characterised by ceiling beams and an open fireplace. The building is listed for its group value.
