Milepost. Possibly early C20. Cast iron. Triangular plan, inclined head set approximately 500mm above ground level, and inscribed: "WHISTON"; left face inscribed: "FROGHALL 1/2/CHEADLE 3 1/2/HANLEY 10/STOKE 11/NEWCASTLE 12 1/2"; and on right: "ASHBOURNE 11 1/4".
