Description
The Leys is a farmhouse dated 1772, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and 20th century. It features a red brick facade and coursed squared stone in other areas, designed in a twin parallel-range plan with brick end stacks. The building is two stories high with an attic and has a three-window front. The windows have segmental heads with keystones and include 20th-century three-light casements, with a single light window in the center. Above the central entrance, there is a 20th-century gabled hood, and the lintel is inscribed with "A/ T A/1772." The left side gable shows the differences between the 18th-century and mid-19th-century stonework, with the earlier section featuring block mullioned casements in the attic, while the later section has larger, deeper small-pane casements and a verge parapet taken under the stack.
