Description
Froghall Wharf warehouse is an early 19th-century building that has been converted for retail use. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof. The south side has two storeys with two windows positioned towards the right, which have segmental heads and small-pane casements. There is a segmental-headed entrance at the extreme right. The west side apex has a widely projecting verge that covers a hoist. On the north side, there is a canted boarded and gabled hoist facing the canal.
This warehouse is part of a group of structures located at the head of the Caldon Canal, which includes a bridge, lime kilns, and a tramway terminus, all of which contribute to its historical significance.
