Description

Springfield Farm is a late 17th-century farmhouse that was altered and extended in the mid-19th century. The original farmhouse is constructed of dressed and squared stone, with later additions in brickwork. It has a tiled roof and a brick end stack to the left. The front of the farmhouse has two windows on each floor, offset to the right. The windows were originally mullioned, with chamfered reveals, and there is a blocked door with a heavy lintel on the left side. A brick stable block is situated to the right of the farmhouse, matching its eaves and ridge height. A lower addition is to the left of the stables, incorporating an entrance. The rear elevation features a pattern of windows: one light on the left, two lights in the centre, and one light on the right, all with chamfered mullions on the ground floor.
