Milepost. Possibly early C20. Cast iron. Triangular plan, inclined head set approximately 500mm above ground level and inscribed: "WHISTON"; left face inscribed: "FROGHALL 1 1/2/CHEADLE 4 1/2/HANLEY 11/STOKE 12/ NEWCASTLE 13 1/2"; and on right: "ASHBOURNE 10 1/4".
