Description

Moorland Cottages, originally a workhouse, were built in the early 19th century and later altered in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of dressed and squared stone, with a tiled roof and brick end and ridge stacks. The two-storey front has six windows, featuring glazing bar sashes with painted surrounds, with the exception of the converted stable on the left which has casement windows. There are three entrances, positioned alternately with the windows, and the right-hand end has a corbelled cornice above the entrance. All entrances have part-glazed doors. The building is set back, inset two windows from the ends.
