Description
This milepost, located at the National Grid Reference SK 18021459, dates from the mid to late 19th century and is made of cast iron. It has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "ALREWAS PARISH". The left-hand face reads "TAMWORTH 8", while the right-hand face displays "ALREWAS ½ / BURTON 7½".
