Description
This milepost, located at the National Grid Reference SK 14881563, dates from the mid to late 19th century and is made of cast iron. It has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "KINGS / BROMLEY". The left-hand face displays the distances to Alrewas (1½ miles), Burton (8¾ miles), and Tamworth (10 miles). The right-hand face shows the distances to Kings Bromley (2 miles), Handsacre (4½ miles), Armitage (5 miles), Rugeley (8 miles), and Stafford (17½ miles).
