Description
Alrewas Hayes Farmhouse is a Grade II listed farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with a later addition. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with brick integral end stacks. Originally, the house was L-shaped, with the principal range aligned east-west and facing south, and a rear range to the north-west aligned north-south. The main range has been extended to the west. The building has two storeys and an attic, with storey bands and a dentilled eaves band. The main house consists of five bays, with glazing bar sashes that have segmental heads and gabled dormers. There is a central half-glazed door framed by a pedimented doorcase. To the left, there is a single-bay extension with casements, and a straight joint marks the boundary between the two building phases. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
