Description
Woodend Lock Cottage is a lock keeper's house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a plain tile roof with a brick ridge stack. The cottage is two storeys high and has an eaves band. The front has a slightly irregular arrangement of four windows, which are casements. The entrance is located at the left-hand gable. The Act for the Trent and Mersey Canal was passed in 1765.
