Description
Wharf House is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is built of red brick and features a hipped slate roof with brick stacks. The building is roughly square in shape, with its main facade facing southwest. It has two storeys and an eaves band, with three windows that are casements with segmental heads. There is a central door that has a wooden doorcase and a rectangular overlight. On the northwest elevation, there are also two storeys with two windows, again casements with segmental heads, and a central part-glazed door with a wooden porch. Wharf House is part of an interesting group of structures located at the junction of the Trent and Mersey, and Coventry canals, and is noted for its group value.
