Description

This milepost, located on Tamworth Road in Elford, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "ELFORD/PARISH". The left side indicates "TAMWORTH 5", while the right side shows "ALREWAS 3½ / BURTON 10½".
