Description

This is a house incorporating a shop, dating back to the 16th century, with significant remodelling in the 18th century and alterations in the 20th. The building is constructed of red brick replacing earlier timber framing, with a plain tile roof. It is one storey and attic, and has an irregular arrangement of windows. The front features two 20th-century casements with segmental heads to the left, three 20th-century gabled dormers, a 20th-century glazed door centrally positioned, a 20th-century shop front, and an alley door to the right. Internally, there is a pair of cruck roof timbers with an Alcock apex type C. The building is of group value.
