Description

The Garden Wall on the North Boundary of the Garden of The Old Rectory is a garden boundary wall dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of red brick with stone and brick coping. The western section features English bond brickwork at the lower level and garden wall bond above, topped with stone coping. The eastern section is built in garden wall bond with blue brick coping and a plinth, and includes piers at intervals that have stone caps. There are two gateways to the house located at the center of the wall. This wall forms the northern boundary of the garden of The Old Rectory and follows a curved course along the lane.
