Description

This is a milepost dating from the mid to late 19th century, made of cast iron. It has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "ELFORD". The left side displays distances to Harlaston (4.5 miles), Clifton (4.5 miles), Measham (10.5 miles), and Ashby (14 miles). The right side shows distances to Tamworth (4 miles), Alrewas (4.5 miles), Lichfield (6.5 miles), and Burton (11.25 miles).
