Description

This is a milepost located on the main road in Harlaston, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with the name "HARLASTON." The left-hand face displays distances to Clifton (2½ miles), Measham (8½ miles), and Ashby (12 miles). The right-hand face shows distances to Alrewas (6½ miles), Lichfield (8½ miles), and Burton (13¼ miles).
