Description
This is a milepost from the mid to late 19th century, made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape with a chamfered top. The top face is marked "CLIFTON". The left side displays the distances to Clifton (½ mile), Measham (6½ miles), and Ashby (10 miles). The right side indicates the distances to Harlaston (2 miles), Alrewas (8½ miles), Lichfield (10½ miles), and Burton (15¼ miles).
