Description
No. 62 on Church Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 18th century, with some changes made in the early 19th century, particularly to the windows. The building is constructed from limestone rubble, with roughcast on the rear and sides, and the front is stuccoed to give the appearance of ashlar. It has a slate roof and features a large truncated external end stack on the right side. The front has two windows; on the ground floor to the left is a 16-pane glazing bar sash, while to the right is a mid- to late-20th century plate glass shop window. There is also a mid- to late-20th century plate glass shop window extension at the angle of the stack to the right. A central mid- to late-20th century glazed door completes the facade. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
