Description
The Kings Head Inn and its outbuildings, located at No. 48 on Church Street in Bishop's Castle, are early 19th-century structures. They are built from limestone rubble, with the front rendered and a slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, featuring deep eaves and an integral brick end stack on the right side. The front has three windows with segmental-headed glazing bar sashes. Between the first and second windows from the left, there is a four-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed. This door has a plain surround and is topped with an open triangular pedimented hood supported by shaped brackets. Additionally, there is an elaborate wrought iron sign bracket from the 19th century centrally located on the first floor.
