Description
No. 29 Church Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 17th century and was refaced with the eaves raised in the mid-19th century. The building features a rendered timber frame and a slate roof, with an L-plan layout consisting of two framed bays and an additional framed bay wing to the right at the rear. It stands two storeys tall with a gable-lit attic. There is a ridge stack on the wing at the rear and another stack to the left at the rear. The first floor has two margin-light sash windows, while the ground floor features a late 19th-century shop front with a three-part plate glass window to the left, a half-glazed door to the right, and an additional window in the return to the south. The building is included for its group value.
