Description
No. 29 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 17th century but was refaced and had its eaves raised in the early 19th century, with further additions made to the rear and a shop front added in the late 19th century. The building features a stuccoed timber frame with coursed limestone additions at the rear and has a slate roof. It has an L-plan layout, likely consisting of two framed bays at the front and a two-bay wing at the rear. The building is two storeys high and has two first-floor glazing bar sash windows. The ground floor features a projecting late-19th-century shop front with two-part plate glass windows on either side of a recessed half-glazed door. This property is included for its group value with other nearby buildings.
