Description
29 Broad Street is a house with an 18th-century front that incorporates an earlier core. The building features roughcast and timber framing, a steeply pitched slate roof, and at the rear, a hipped gable of a taller wing that forms a single pitch. There is a brick stack located on the right front. The house is three stories high and has a two-window range, with 8/8 sash windows in broad beaded cases on the lower level and 4/8 sash windows above. The parapet is topped with moulded stone coping. The central entrance consists of a six-fielded panel door set in a panelled case, which is topped by a wood modillioned pediment. This entrance has a grooved stucco surround with a keystone and is flanked by 8/8 sash windows. The property also features lead rainwater goods.
