Description
This is a late 18th-century house, likely built upon an earlier structure. The exterior is brick with a steep-pitched Westmorland slate roof, and plain tiles to the rear. It is three storeys high, with a cellar, and has a three-window front. The ground floor on the left has an 8/8 sash window, while the right side has two 4/4 sash windows, all set within moulded stucco architraves with stone sills on corbels, and under segmental arches. A stucco band runs across the first floor, above which are three 4/4 sash windows in matching settings. The building features moulded eaves with modillions, and a parapet. The central entrance has a six-panel door in a plain surround, topped by a moulded wooden hood with frieze and pilasters. To the right of the door is a 4/4 sash window, and to the left, an 8/8 sash window with a stone hood, corbels, and pilaster architraves. Another stucco band is located above the ground floor. The cellar contains a vaulted passage leading to the rear. A two-storey wing from the early 19th century extends to the rear of the property.
