Description

No. 43 Broadway is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features an old tile roof. The building has an L-plan and stands three storeys tall, with end pilaster strips, a moulded wooden eaves cornice, parapeted gable ends, and end stacks. The facade has two windows, which are glazing bar sashes with gauged heads and projecting keystones. There is an off-centre six-panelled door to the right, with the lower panels flush and the top panels glazed. The door has flush panelled reveals and a doorcase that includes panelled pilasters, a frieze, and a triangular pediment. To the left, there is a blocked doorway featuring a gauged brick round arch and a projecting keystone.
