Description

No. 17 High Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a rendered front and features a steep pantile roof with stone-coped gables, brick gable stacks, and decorated eaves. The building has a two-storey, three-bay front with a plinth. The central doorway, which is from the 19th century, is semi-circular and has a plain fanlight, a semi-circular stone lintel, and an eight-panelled door. This door is flanked by single windows, with three additional windows above; the window over the door is narrower than the others. All the windows have plain sashes, segmental heads, and splayed rendered lintels.
