Description
Nos. 25 and 27 Broadway are a pair of houses built in the mid to late 18th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature a 19th-century banded tile roof. The buildings rise three storeys and have end pilaster strips, a moulded wooden eaves cornice, an end stack on the left, and a ridge stack that is off-centre to the right.
On the first floor, there are four bays with glazing bar sashes that have gauged heads. The ground floor includes a tripartite glazing bar sash on the left, which has moulded mullions and a cornice. There are two doors located between the first and second windows from the left and at the far right. These doors have six raised and fielded panels, architraves, and semi-circular fanlights featuring intersecting Gothic tracery. The doorcases consist of panelled pilaster strips and cut brackets that support flat hoods with moulded cornices and panelled soffits.
