Description
No. 3 Salop Street is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of stucco that is incised to resemble ashlar, likely over coursed limestone rubble, and has a slate roof with a rounded right-hand corner. The building has a basement and two storeys, featuring bracketed eaves and an integral brick stack at the right end. The front has two windows with glazing bar sashes. There are three steps leading up to a central six-panelled door, where the bottom two panels are flush. This door is topped by a three-part rectangular overlight and is framed by a panelled pilastered surround with a cornice. To the right of the main entrance, there is a door leading to the basement. The house is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
