Description

This is a timber-frame house, originally built in the 17th century, and later used as a shop before returning to residential use. It was refaced and had its eaves raised in the early 19th century. The front is stuccoed with a slate roof. It likely started as a two-bay building. The house has three storeys and a ridge stack on the right side. There are two windows across the front, with 16-pane glazing bar sashes. A late-19th-century wooden shop front covers the ground floor, consisting of two two-part shop windows framing a recessed glazed central door with pilastered surrounds, fascia, and cornice.
