Description

No. 12 Market Square is a house and shop, now functioning solely as a house. It dates from the 17th century and was refaced and had its eaves raised in the early 19th century. The building features a roughcast timber frame with a graded slate roof and is likely composed of two framed bays. The first floor slightly jetties out, and there are deep eaves. The structure has three storeys and a two-window front, with glazing bar sashes that have 16 panes on both the first and second floors. To the right, there is an early to mid-19th century shop front, which includes a three-part shop window and a four-panelled door to the left, topped with a bracketed hood.
