Description

No. 35 Town Wall is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is finished in painted stucco that is scored to resemble ashlar, featuring chamfered angle quoins. The roof, added in the mid-20th century, is made of concrete tiles and has a rendered stack at the left end, along with stone gable coping and a shaped kneeler. The building has three storeys and a basement, with three windows on the ground and second floors, and two on the first floor. A flight of five stone steps leads to a central door, which has six panels and an overlight, set within a renewed architrave and panelled reveals beneath a narrow frieze and pediment. The windows have renewed sashes with glazing bars and painted stone sills. There are wrought iron area railings and renewed wrought iron handrails.
