Description
The remains of a medieval wayside cross are made of dressed limestone. It features a square cross base with a chamfered top, set atop three steps. The cross was reported to have been discovered in 1917 on the north side of the road westward of Low Warren Farm, Hartlepool, near a railway arch. It was relocated to the grounds of the Gray Art Gallery and Museum on Clarence Road before being moved to its current location just west of St Hilda's Church in 1997.
