Description

The Coach House Wing, which connects the brewery to the rear wing of the Three Tuns Inn, was built between 1880 and 1888. This structure features red brick and a timber-framed first floor on the left, showcasing herringbone framing and brick nogging, topped with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high with an attic. The first floor projects on the left side and has a corbelled brick fire-break wall on the right that extends through the roof to form a parapet. There is a flat-topped dormer on the left with a four-light window, an integral brick end stack on the right, and a brick ridge stack off-centre to the left.

On the first floor, there are two central eight-pane glazing bar sash windows and a four-flush-panelled door to the left, which is accessed by a cast iron spiral staircase. The ground floor features, from left to right: large boarded double doors leading to the carriageway beneath the projecting first floor; segmental-headed boarded double garage doors; a boarded passageway door with a three-part segmental-headed overlight; a segmental-headed boarded door; a 20th-century casement window; and another boarded door with a three-part segmental-headed overlight. This building is included for its group value.
