Description
The former coachhouse, built in the earlier 19th century, is a two-storey, three-bay rectangular structure located on a sloping site in Port Bannatyne. It features painted harl with red sandstone dressings, moulded eaves, and red sandstone surrounds to its openings. The coach entrance has droved blocks and is fitted with boarded timber doors. There are later single-storey garages attached to the northeast.
On the northwest (entrance) elevation, there is a large three-leaf boarded timber door set in a segmental-arched surround, which is offset to the left of centre. Above this, there is a blind opening aligned with the first floor. To the right of the entrance, there is a small blocked opening, and in the outer right bay, there is a boarded timber door at ground level, along with a single window at the first floor. In the outer left bay, there is a boarded timber opening at ground level and a single window aligned at the first floor. The single-storey garages are recessed to the outer left.
The northeast (side) elevation has projecting garages at ground level and a single window at the first floor, offset to the left of centre. The building features 16-pane timber sash and case windows, a graded grey slate piended roof with replacement rainwater goods, and corniced wallhead stacks with single circular cans.
The interior was not seen in 1996.
