37 Hill Street Lane North, Edinburgh

This building, located at 37 Hill Street Lane North in Edinburgh, is a late 18th century, two-storey, three-bay former coach house designed in an L-plan. It is constructed from cream sandstone rubble. On the left side at ground level, there is a garage featuring a concrete lintel and an original relieving arch. To the right, a cantilevered forestair leads to the first floor, which has a large rosette built into the retaining wall at ground level.

At the first floor, there is a piend-roofed doorway that breaks the eaves at the center, accompanied by a similar window to the left and a boarded hatch to the right. The building has blank gables at either end, which were formerly part of a row of buildings. A piend-roofed wing projects to the rear on the left side.

The windows are timber sash and case with 12 panes. The building features ashlar coped skews, a brick stack, and is covered with grey slates.
